Earthquake

The earthquake in Haiti worsens the health situation

January 18, 2010 - The earthquake that caused extensive damage in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, is exacerbating an already precarious health situation. WHO is leading the coordination of the health sector response to the urgency to support the Haitian government. A team of specialists in emergency response is on site and medical supplies are in transit.

The education component of the fight against leishmaniasis


January 12, 2010 - Leishmaniasis is an ancient parasitic always resists the efforts of modern wrestling. Each year there are approximately 500 000 cases and 50 000 deaths.
