In some anticancer centers in Japan, mushroom extracts accompany chemotherapy treatment for people with stomach cancer. Indeed, fungi are known to activate the immune system. This study examined a population of 2,000 Chinese women who reported their dietary intake accurately (1).
Those who ate more than 10g of fresh mushrooms per day saw their risk of breast cancer decreased by 64% (this reduced risk was 47% with dried mushrooms). But this study also demonstrates that the anticancer effects of mushrooms are combined with those of green tea. Thus, women who consume more fresh mushrooms, drank green tea daily had a risk of breast cancer reduced by 89%!
We can therefore recommend regular consumption of mushrooms in prevention of breast cancer, but perhaps more widely cancers in general. And to associate this food for daily consumption of green tea anti-cancer plant par excellence.
